Edwin achieved many hits during his career including 'Agent Double-O-Soul' (in 1965), 'Way Over There', 'S.O.S. (Stop Her on Sight)', 'Oh How Happy', '25 Miles', '(Eye-to-Eye) Contact' and 'H.A.P.P.Y. Radio'.
He is best remembered for the 1970 Gordy Records Vietnam War protest song 'War, which spent three weeks in the top position on the U.S. Billboard charts..
Edwin passed away, from a heart attack, in Bramcote, Nottinghamshire, England in 2003.
